1. Demand-Based Delivery Pricing
Meet the main course of this release — demand-based delivery pricing! In addition to our existing distance-based pricing model, you can now dynamically configure delivery pricing to reflect demand. This new feature, available in the Settings Panel, includes a handy toggle to enable or disable the mode, set active periods for hours or days, and apply a surcharge to your current delivery charges as an exact amount or as a percentage. Once activated, these changes are immediately reflected in the customer's shopping basket total, providing a transparent and seamless experience. Ready to maximise delivery profitability during peak periods? It's just a toggle away!
2. Configurable Utensil Settings
Managing utensil availability has never been easier or more precise. Our new utensil settings allow marketplaces to set the minimum and maximum limits for utensil requests across all restaurants. In the Vendor Panel, vendors can also configure this setting individually, with vendor-level preferences taking precedence over marketplace settings. This ensures flexibility, fraud prevention, and an end to any utensil prank orders. Sustainability and order accuracy, all in one!
3. Enhanced Customer Data Privacy
We've taken a big step forward in protecting customer data. Sensitive information is now masked on the vendor app and panel, ensuring that only essential order details are visible. The only exception is for takeaway orders, where vendors must know who’s picking up the food. This update helps maintain privacy while keeping operations smooth, striking the perfect balance between security and service.
4. Improved Vendor Catalogue Search
Finding the perfect dish is now faster and more accurate. We've introduced a new navigation feature that allows customers to search for items within a vendor's catalogue by dish title and description. Whether it's that one must-have dish or something new to try, your customers are more likely than ever to find exactly what they're looking for.
As always, we’ve squashed a few pesky bugs and made subtle enhancements to our user interface for a smoother, more intuitive experience.
